NEWS: Egl-Nur plans to export its products to CIS states.

Egl-Nur, an Uzbek-Korean joint venture, plans to exports its products to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2015.
As reported earlier, Egl-Nur started its work in territory of special industrial zone “Angren” in 2014.
EGL-NUR has been founded by South Korea’s EG Lightings Co. Ltd and Uzbekistan’s Novo-Angren thermal power station. Share of the Korean side in the venture is 51% and the Uzbek side – 49%.
The plant will produce lamps with the capacity from 120 to 175 watts. They will be used as an alternative to currently used lamps with the capacity of 500-600 watts. The capacity of the plant is 2,000 lamps a month.
Currently, the localization level is only 5% as major part of components is exported from South Korea. Soon, the level of localization will increase.
Angren special industrial zone was created on 13 April 2012 in line with the presidential decree in Tashkent region. The zone will function for 30 years.
During operation of the special industrial zone, special tax regime and customs preferences will be applied in its territory. Administrative council of SIZ Angren will provide status of participant of the special industrial zone.
