NEWS: The volume of agricultural production totaled 36.96 trillion soums in 2014 .

- Implemented measures on agriculture diversification, the implementation of modern agricultural technologies and strengthening the material and technical base of farms provided the increase in gross agricultural output in 2014 by 6.9% compared with 2013 year. The total volume of agricultural production in 2014 totaled 36.96 trillion soums, including in crop - 21.81 trillion soums (106.9%), livestock - 15.15 trillion soums (107.0%).
In recent years, purposeful measures have been taken for phase-by-phase optimization of the structure of food crops. As well as active measures implemented to stimulate the increase of livestock in private farms, and farms.
Measures taken to optimize the structure of sown areas for the period 2008-2014 provided to reduce cotton-sown areas to 124 thousand hectares and expand of crop cultivation spiked by 74.6 thousand hectares, potatoes by 20.4 thousand hectares, vegetables by 29.1 thousand hectares, melons food by 9.3 thousand hectares.
The total acreage of crops in 2014 in all categories of farms made up 3.68 million hectares. Of these, the area occupied by potatoes amounted to 80.3 thousand hectares (102.6% in 2013), vegetables 191.9 thousand hectares (101.4%) and melons food 51.5 thousand hectares (101.8%).
In addition, fruit and vegetable gardens expanding, their total area in 2014 reached 262.5 thousand hectares, which is 47.6 thousand hectares or 22.2% more than in 2008. At the same time, special attention is paid to the creation of new intensive orchards of dwarf and semi-dwarf fruit and fruit trees, fruit-bearing in the second or third year.
As a result, all categories of farms in 2014 produced 8.05 million tons of grains (103.1% in 2013), 3.4 million tons of raw cotton (101.2%), 2,450,000 tons of potatoes (109.0%), 9,290,000 tons of vegetables (109.1%), 1.69 million tons melons food (108.9%), 2.49 million tons of fruits and berries (110, 2%), 1,440,000 tons of grapes (109%).
At that, in animal husbandry for the period 2006-2014 number of cattle, sheep and goats increased by 1.5 times, the number of poultries of all kinds by 2,3 times.
By the results of 2014, the total number of cattle made up 10.99 million (103.7% in 2013), including cows - 4.08 million (101.6%), sheep and goats – 18.45 million (104.1%), poultry - 56.19 million (107.4%).
During January-December 2014 produced 1.91 million tons of meat (106.7% in 2013), 8.43 million tons of milk (107%), 4.95 billion eggs (113%).
