NEWS: Representatives of German companies took the initiative on creation of the Uzbek-German Business Council .

- Within the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan in the international agricultural "Green Week - 2015" fair in the German capital, a presentation about the economic and agricultural potential of our country was held. The event was attended by over 120 representatives of German companies.
Participants of the event, organized jointly with the Eastern Committee of German Economy, were informed about the current economic development of Uzbekistan, the measures implemented in modernization and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises, further improvement of the business environment, and the priority areas of investment cooperation.
The information about the possibilities of FIEZ "Navoi", SIZ "Angren" and "Jizzakh" and a wide system of privileges and preferences for foreign investors led to increased interest in business circles of Germany.
Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy R.Lindner and other speakers from the German side have repeatedly stressed that Uzbekistan is a key country in the region, which possesses significant economic potential.
The participants got acquainted with the activities of a number of leading German firms, companies and financial institutions, such as CLAAS, LEMKEN, KNAUF, MAN, Commerzbank and many others.
It was noted that the experience of long-term successful operation of German companies in the Uzbek market is a confirmation of favorable business and investment climate, rapidly growing effective domestic market, the availability of highly qualified specialists, as well as modern production facilities required for localization.
Representatives of successfully operating German companies in Uzbekistan invited the participants to take the opportunity to enter a promising Uzbek market and actively participate in investment projects in the country.
During the event, representatives of the mentioned companies have taken the initiative for the establishment of the Uzbek-German Business Council, which on a permanent basis will be dealing with promotion of investment potential of Uzbekistan in Germany, organization of presentations and forums, and protection of the interests of Uzbek and German companies operating in the country in the government and parliament of Germany.
According to participants, the forum has become "the best presentation and advertising of Uzbekistan", it allowed to get acquainted with the potential of the Uzbek-German economic cooperation, the successful experience of the activities of the leading German companies and new investment opportunities in the country.
A representative of the company WIENER & PARTNER Marketing Ilona Wiener noted that the presentation on the economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan greatly impressed the participants.
- The event provided a good opportunity to establish new business contacts between representatives of different sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan and Germany. We are very pleased with the presence of high mutual interest in the development of investment cooperation. Modern German technologies and know-how allow Uzbek companies to produce competitive products not only for domestic and regional, but for Western markets as well, - she said.
According to her, there also was a very interesting and informative presentation on the agricultural potential of Uzbekistan.

Favorable investment climate and mutual trust serves as the basis of bilateral economic cooperation. Based on this, we are committed to cooperate with Uzbekistan.
