NEWS: Production of building materials in Uzbekistan increased by 10.7%.

- Industry enterprises of Uzbekistan during January-December 2014 produced construction materials in the amount of 4.56 trillion soums, which exceeds the corresponding figures of the previous year by 10.7%. The share of industry in total industrial output of the republic made up 6.1%.
In comparison with 2013, large industrial enterprises increased production of marble, travertine, alabaster and products thereof by 2.2 times, building bricks and blocks of cement, concrete and artificial stone by 1.6 times, prefabricated elements and other products for buildings and facilities by 12.6%, ceramic tiles for paving and facing plates ceramic, glazed by 7.1%.
In addition, the production of cement (105.1%) and cement clinker (104.5%) also increased.
